DESCRIPTION
KNOW WHAT YOU ARE BUYING
We propose a half cut Parma ham aged 24 months, vacuum packed, weighing nearly kg 4. As always, PARMA NOBLE FOOD guarantees a product rigorously certified by the “ducal crown”. Its sweetness, the right dose of salt and its ageing render Parma ham a unique, natural, valuable product that should never be missing on your table; it can also be manually cut into slices, starting from the end and continuing toward the knuckle.
PRODUCT PROFILE
Also this pack size hosts the secrets of Parma ham, a careful selection of pigs, little salt and the special, unique and precious air that accompanies its ageing process. At a first glance its rose colour is even, interspersed by the white of fat. When touched and cut, its texture is homogeneous and its taste is always mild and fine.
KNOW WHAT YOU ARE EATING
As stressed by nutritionists, Parma ham is a healthy food for our daily diet. It is rich in vitamins, mineral salts, proteins and unsaturated fatty acids good for our health. The latter include oleic acid, the same monosaturated fat contained in extra virgin olive oil. The complex of B and E vitamins is important for the efficiency of our immune system. A good slice of Parma ham is ideal for a balanced diet.
IN THE KITCHEN
To appreciate the fine taste of Parma ham at best, it should be cut into very thin slices and eaten raw, alone or with toasted bread, melon but also figs. In this combination it is a unique and matchless dish; it perfectly pairs with red and white wines. We recommend that the external rim is trimmed away little by little as you cut it into slices, to preserve its quality for longer. For your smart aperitif, Parma ham and Parmigiano Reggiano DOP, from the PARMA NOBLE FOOD selection, are the ideal solution.
ONCE UNPACKED
The product as purchased can be kept in a cold room at a temperature in the range of 4-6 Degrees centigrade for no more than 6 months, always checking the integrity of the vacuum pack. When you will decide to open the packaging and enjoy it, the simplest and most correct way to keep its organoleptic properties intact, is placing it in the fridge with the section cut covered by a film or wrapped up in a cotton dish towel. By doing so the product can be safely preserved for another month.
